      On My Heart

~Reach the Lost ~

Where do I begin with this one.  It truly has been overflowing in my heart lately.  PEOPLE ARE DYING, AND THEY DON'T KNOW JESUS!  Just as you are reading this, someone just died, that didn't know Him.  And when was the last time we reached out to somebody?  When was the last time we  told someone who was checking us out at WalMart that God loves them, and that we would pray for them for peace for the rest of their hectic day?  I'm guilty too. I must confess.  Although we go to nursing homes, and minister, I could do more.  I think we all can.

What I want to share is from Matthew chapter 25.

Verses 41- 46 (NIV)

Then he will say to those on his left "Depart from me, you who are cursed into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.  For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink.  I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in the prison and you did not look after me.

They also will answer, "Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?"

He will reply, I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did no do for me.

God's plan is for us to reach the lost.

I will share a quick chorus to one of my new songs on my second album (coming soon!) (2000)

"Let's use our hands to help instead of pointing at each other

Let's use our ears to hear their cries instead of gossip of another

Let's use our mouth to encourage them instead of slandering our brother

We're so wrapped up in ourselves to care about a world that's dying out there

Where are you?"

You know, it's so true....

It's not about setting up a little pulpit at the corner, or trying to raise money for a tent, to have a big revival and bring hundreds to Jesus (That's great too if you can!) But it's about a daily walk, a nice smile, give someone a tract, or just being there to listen and give wise council when someone needs it.  It's a day to day thing.  It's funny.  We're in North Carolina, and we just got over our Stat Fair.  This year, we ordered a bunch of tracts to hand out. We placed them in strategic places like phone booths, strollers as we passed, men and women's rooms, tables, and anywhere we could.  We saw people reading them, and it was a seed planted!  Yes, we handed some to some people, but it's fun to evangelize!  We pray also that if God wants us to speak with someone, that he would open the door, and we will obey Him.  WE have the answer.... this world needs to hear it.

I'm not going to really write a whole lot, because God's word already made the point.  If you want lyrics to a song about the lost, or a great song for your church to stir them up about outreach, you can get free chords and lyrics to my song "Don't Wait" from the "Zion Sing!" album, and you may also order that c/d by clicking here. If you don't have the money, and you want the c/d, please email us, we'll work it out.  We want God's word getting out, and this song will stir you and whoever hears it..  God has lost royalty out there, and it it's our job to be His hands, His heart, His mouth.

Let's get busy, the time is now!  Someone just died tonight who didn't know Jesus....
